St. James' Church, Alderholt

The Resurrection Bus

This year's Easter Workshop activities extended for three mornings during the week after Easter and were called 'The Resurrection Bus.' Each day began with a film made by the Church youth group of a bus journey to a location in the village. Each location became one of the places in the Bible where the disciples met the risen Christ: furniture for the Upper Room was arranged outside St James' Church and the local Recreation Ground doubled for the Sea of Galilee!

Each day children enjoyed seeing the film and spotting local landmarks, the youth group continued each  story with a drama they had produced, and there followed varied craft and cooking activities on the day's theme.

Judging by the children's faces it was a great journey!

Easter is always a time of encouragement and new hope, and seeing so many youngsters  (99!) enjoying themselves and learning about the Bible was wonderful!
