St. James' Church, Alderholt

Parish Community Worker

2 Year Full-Time Appointment (possibly 3 years)

Salary £18k to £21k pa dependent on experience .

The (re)advertisment, below, is appearing in Youth Work Magazine, the Church Times and the newspapers of the Salisbury and surrounding dioceses. The parish of St James' has received a grant from a Salisbury Diocesan charity, the Aldhelm Mission Fund. This will be matched by a similar amount from our own recently raised reserves in order to make a two or three year appointment. The Aldhelm Mission Fund made its award based on what it considered to be St James' demonstrating good team work and an excellent example of a rural Church combining traditonal and innovative mission practice. We are hugely encouraged and excited by the possibilities this opens up for us and for our community, and we are equally excited at the prospect of learning from and in turn supporting the successful applicant.

Could you reach out into our parish in new ways to encourage and extend our ministry across the whole community?

Are you an energetic and committed individual ready to lead community and event based mission?

Alderholt is a large village in rural East Dorset . We wish to appoint a Parish Community Worker to reach out into our parish in new ways and to encourage and extend our ministry across the whole community.
