Regular Groups and Meetings
- Little Jims for parents and tiny ones meets in St. James' Church Hall on Fridays at 9:45 a.m. during school term time
- Jims' Pigrims takes place each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
- Vestry group meets every fortnight on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
- Bible Study : A number of groups operate at various times and places - please contect the office for details.
- Choir Practice - 7:00 p.m. on Fridays

Sunday 14-Mar-2010 : Services for Mothering Sunday
Holy Communion (using the Book of Common Prayer) at 8.00am. Mothering Sunday is the mid-point of the season of Lent. Our family service at 10.30am observes the traditional custom of providing small posies of flowers which children give to their mothers. We recognise all the difficulties which mums and others face who care for children. In this informal service we aim to offer real support for family life and not just sentimental thoughts. |

Sunday 21-Mar-2010 : Services for the Fifth Sunday of Lent
Holy Communion (using the Book of Common Prayer) at 8.00am. Parish Communion at 10.30am. The readings are Isaiah 43, 16-21, Philippians 3, 4-14 and John 12, 1-8. At 7.30pm there is a concert - see separate listing. |

Sunday 21-Mar-2010 : Sundays at 7.30 - a concert by pupils of The Wimborne Studio
St James' Church 7:30 p.m. 'Sundays at 7.30' is the title of a series of concerts given in various churches in the vicinity of Wimborne. The concert is free. Tonight's concert is a 'Leider Evening' with songs performed by pupils of The Wimborne Studio. |

Saturday 27-Mar-2010 : Crazy Race Night
Alderholt Village Hall 7:00 p.m. Now on its third annual outing, the 'Race Meeting' has become a firm favourite! Crazy races specially filmed, bar and auction of promises. With all proceeds supporting St James' Church youth work. For more details see 'Alderholt Parish News'. |

St James' Church Hall 8:00 p.m. The second of Vicar Philip's foreign films 'La Vita E Bella' (Life is Beautiful) is a love story both joyous and sad amid the encroaching Nazi threat. |

Sunday 28-Mar-2010 : Services for Palm Sunday
Holy Communion (using the Book of Common Prayer) at 8.00am. Parish Communion at 10.30am. The service begins at the Church Hall when palm crosses are blessed and we hear the account of Christ's entry into Jerusalem. Our procession into Church, led by our instrumentalists, is joyful yet informal before we hear the solemn account of Christ's passion. The readings are Philippians 2, 5-11 and the Passion of Christ according to St Mark. |
