Welcome to St. James' Church.

St. James' is the Parish Church of Alderholt, Dorset, UK, in the Diocese of Salisbury.

A Pilgrim Church - Going Places

By tradition, St. James is the patron saint of travellers, and we ask that as you visit us on your journey through the internet, you pause to pray, and of your goodness give to those in need.

Almighty and everlasting God, who hast given unto thy servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of the Divine Majesty to worship the unity: We beseech thee, that thou wouldest keep us steadfast in this faith, and evermore defend us from all adversities, who livest and reignest, one God, worls without end. Amen

May all joys find here their source and their deepening ...
may all sorrows find here their solace and understanding ...
may anger and bitterness find their healing, and the guilty heart its absolution ...
and may all who worship here find peace,
for here we are conscious of stepping into the presence of God .
