A welcome for Ruby

Welcome to St. James' Church.

St. James' is the Parish Church of Alderholt, Dorset, UK, in the Diocese of Salisbury.

A Pilgrim Church - Going Places

By tradition, St. James is the patron saint of travellers, and we ask that as you visit us on your journey through the internet, you pause to pray, and of your goodness give to those in need.

Almighty and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made, and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we worthily lamenting or sins, and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain for thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May all joys find here their source and their deepening ...
may all sorrows find here their solace and understanding ...
may anger and bitterness find their healing, and the guilty heart its absolution ...
and may all who worship here find peace,
for here we are conscious of stepping into the presence of God .
